Thursday

  • 8:15 - 9:15 am: Sitting Meditation (15 min.) & Mindful Movement (Tai Chi/Chi Kung 45 min.)
  • 12:00 noon - 12:45 pm: Noon Meditation
  • 7:30 - 9:00 pm: Evening Meditation

Friday

  • 8:15 - 9:15 am: Morning Meditation

**** All of these sessions will take place in the Chapel of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax, 2709 Hunter Mill Road, Oakton, VA 22124 (Google Map). Registration is not required ****

Description

Morning Meditation: Start the day with a focused and serene mind. Practice mindful breathing, walking, and gentle movements. The session comprises:
    • Guided Sitting Meditation
    • Mindful Movement
    • Walking Meditation
    • Silent Sitting
    • Closing Circle


Evening Meditation: End the day with a relaxed body and a calm mind. Practice total body relaxation, mindful sitting, walking, and gentle movements. The session comprises:
    • Guided Meditation
    • Mindful Movement
    • Walking Meditation (except on the first Thursday of the month)
    • On the first Thursday of the month: Recitation of the Five Mindfulness Trainings and Dharma Talk by Anh-Huong
    • Sharing from the Heart / Deep Listening
    • Closing Circle


Noon Meditation: Have a break in the middle of the day to refocus oneself. Same program as in the Morning Meditation.


Mindful Movement - Tai Chi - Chi Kung: Enjoy mindful movements and energy flow in body and mind. Release stress, recharge the body, and attain peace through meditative movements.
