How to Install Zoom Application & Join a Zoom Meeting
The installation should take less than 5 minutes.
- If you receive a link to a Zoom meeting, click on that link
and follow the onscreen instructions. Otherwise, run a web
browser and go to http://zoom.us
and click on "Join a meeting"
- If you are running Zoom for the first time, the web browser
will download a Plug-in or an App. Click on the downloaded file
to install the Zoom Plug-in, or accept the App installation
- The system will run the Zoom software to set up audio and
video connections
- If asked, enter the meeting ID and name of the participant -
Join the meeting
- If asked to join the audio by computer, select that option.
Otherwise you won’t hear the conversation in the meeting
- If you see the message “Zoom would like to access the camera”,
click OK
- If you see the message “Zoom would like to access the
microphone”, click OK
- If you see the message “To hear others please join audio”,
then select “Call using Internet Audio” (do not select “Dial
in”)
- On iPad, the video connection is NOT enable when you get into
the meeting room. There is a red line cutting across the
“camera” icon. Click on the “camera” icon to enable the video
transmission
- During the conversation, you can mute the microphone or
disconnect the video (audio only with no picture). Click on the
appropriate icon (or button), to toggle the option On/Off.
- We ask all the participants to mute the microphone when
the workshop begins.
